Description: A highly specialized and intensive 4-week course designed to give you the tools to teach English in any country. Based on the Cambridge-Oxford and Celta format, this course is challenging and rewarding! Although this course is loaded with information, you won´t feel overwhelmed due to our practical scheduling. You can expect plenty of instruction time, observation time, and student teaching time!

The main part of our preparing you for the real classroom is to let you have a sufficient number of hours in front of a real ESL class. Not only will you practice your grammar teaching skills but it is also important for you to conduct conversation classes as well. Therefore, with two separate mentors, you will gain invaluable experience.   This course also prepares you for job search upon completion.

Upon completion of this course you receive your Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Our TEFL course is approved by SEP, the Secretary of Public Education of Mexico. Successful graduates are frequently hired by VLC as they are given priority over other applicants for teaching positions. We pride ourselves in offering the best possible education in the TEFL field.

Qualifications:
- High School Education
- Grammar evaluation test administered by VLC
- Essay of approximately 200 words stating reasons for wanting to become an ESL instructor.
