TESOL Certificate in Florence, Italy
Italy
Length of Position: 4 Week Course
Description:
This 4-week course meets all internationally-recognized standards for TEFL and TESOL Certificates and is accredited by the BOAA (please see details on our site). With 120 hours of classroom instruction and 9 hours of teaching practice, this is the best way to prepare you to teach English and live abroad.
Highlights:
Our school is located in the zone known as San Jacopino, a ten minute walk from both the central train station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, and the Fortezza da Basso, a former fortress and an example of Renaissance architecture. Nearby, you will find various schools that makeup the University of Florence, the new courthouse, a cinema, and a plethora of stores and restaurants. This area is a real Italian area; that is, you will meet, eat lunch with, and socialize with Italians who actually live and carry out their daily lives in the actual zone of the school. This means that you will be exposed to the authentic Florence, and not the Florence that is created for the tourists. This is one of our goals for our students; we want you to interact with and be exposed to the real, authentic Tuscan lifestyle. Since you may or may not be teaching in a big city where English is present, we want to prepare you not only to teach, but to succeed and flourish in your new Italian life.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 19 years old and be native English speakers. If you are not a native English speaker you must show strong fluency with an additional essay and possible interview.
