Description:
The TESOL Training course is a non-credit, intensive course providing participants with the latest methodologies associated with teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to diverse learners. The course uses a practical, hands-on approach that includes the following elements: intercultural communication workshops, online discussions, classroom observations and practice teaching. Participants identify, develop and practice instructional techniques for teaching listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition, participants learn how to maximize their effectiveness by utilizing available resources and technology.

Qualifications:
This is intended as an introductory course for individuals who may be interested in volunteer positions, teaching in adult language programs, teaching English abroad or considering a career change. Participants earn a certificate of completion upon meeting the following course requirements: - Class attendance - Completion of ESL class observations - Practice teaching (2-4 hours) Application Prior ESL teaching experience is not required for admission. Applicants are required to have a bachelor's degree or higher and possess basic computer skills.
