Length of Position: Four weeks

Description: We provide the unique opportunity to experience evolving from "student" to "teacher". This hands-on program is designed to engage the trainee with active participation. We maintain small class sizes to promote a more intense environment and whenever possible trainers will model teaching techniques and activities which trainees will use in the classroom.

Unlike many certificate programs, we provide the opportunity to teach both children and adults which is important when looking for work abroad.

The TESOL Certificate- Teachers of English to Students of Other Languages- provides training for those who have little or no teaching experience who wish to enter the English teaching profession.

Completion of the course allows our candidates to obtain teaching positions in Morocco and the rest of the world. Our course is externally moderated with all major segments graded before successful completion of the course. The course is four weeks which entails 120 hours of classroom time. The first two weeks are mostly classroom sessions. The main components included are:

* Grammar
* Phonology
* Teaching Techniques
* Classroom Management
* Teaching of an unknown language

In the first two weeks, our trainees are students and while moving into the second two weeks, they assume the role of teacher by participating in Observed Teacher Practice. After all, the best way to learn anything is to actually do it.

Highlights: Located in Marrakesh, Morocco, our school provides an excellent introduction to, not only Morocco, but North Africa as well. Marrakesh provides an excellent mix between authentic culture and an open spirit towards newcomers.

Located just outside the crowed city, our modern state of the art building is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in the district of Gueliz. Here you will have free internet access, coffee/ lunch room as well as an extensive resource room. Also included in the fee are three crash course lessons in "Survival Arabic". During the course, there will also be opportunities for cultural excursions.

Our TESOL/TEFL course provides complete job assistance including resume help, interview preparation and lists of job contacts in all major cities in Morocco as well as Tunisia, Egypt, France and Italy.

We provide insight into the culture of Morocco as well as the rest of North Africa as part of our cultural trainning segments interwoven within the course.

Upon completion of the course, there is also the opportunity to take a month long course in the Arabic language.

Qualifications:
*Successful applicants must be native English speakers.
*They must hold a bachelor's degree from any discipline
*must be between 21 and 55 years old
