Description:
Our 4-week TESOL course is moderated by the BOAA, a Board of Academic Advisors comprised of highly respected experts in the TEFL industry, and meets the standards and qualifications held by the British Council. Your TESOL certification will qualify you as both a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) teacher. The intensive 4-week course covers 120 hours of instruction, including practice teaching with actual local students while supervised by your instructor. Class time is generally 9:00 am to 4:45 pm, with brief mid-morning and afternoon breaks, and a lunch break. For approximately the first two weeks, we will be teaching you everything you need to know for success in the classroom in preparation for your practice teaching. For the remainder of your training, you will actually be teaching each morning and preparing your materials in the afternoons. One of the liveliest Islands Cyclades, Ios, is now home to TEFL Internationals world renowned TEFL certificate course. The islands gorgeous coastal scenery is decorated with bleached white houses stacked densely and precariously like a House of Cards on the hillside. The undisputed 'party central' of the Greek islands, Ios provides an endless supply of night life and entertainment. If outdoor activities and relaxation are more your speed, the world-famous beaches here will play host to your every wish, whether it watersports, snorkeling, diving, beach volleyball, or just some well-deserved R-N-R under the warm Grecian sun.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be 19 years or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be a native English speaker or highly profficient in English if a non-native speaker.
