Description:
Put on your hiking boots for a trek through the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains in Nepal, then unwind on white-sand beaches in Thailand, develop your meditation technique in India, and teach English to local communities throughout the region. Join this 13-week Asian Explorer and discover the myriad of diverse gems that the majestic continent of Asia has to offer. The best of GVI's Thailand, India and Nepal projects have been combined in this unique and eclectic program, which focuses on long running educational projects teaching English to the local communities. For three months you will help a variety of underprivileged communities, while immersing yourself in their traditional society and experience the exciting and varied cultures of Asia for an unforgettable trip. How this program makes a difference: By teaching free English classes in these communities, GVI project members are helping to provide skills which will increase the ability of the locals to earn more and increase revenues generated from local efforts through tourism and international relations.
Highlights:
