Description: In 1964, Chiang Mai University (CMU) was the first university in Thailand to be founded outside Bangkok. Nestled at the foot of Suthep Mountain just west of Chiang Mai, CMU has one of the best university reputations in Thailand today.

CMU's Language Institute provides instruction in English, Thai, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Spanish. Most of our learners are university students and staff, but they also come from the wider community. Our institute has grown quickly and is now one of Northern Thailand's top providers of high-quality language instruction. We have just moved into our newly-constructed 80 million baht training facility on the university campus, which includes 35 classrooms, two libraries, a 200-seat lecture theatre and an 80-station computer lab.

In 2005, we introduced a course in TEFL certification. This four-week course provides top-notch instruction to native (or near-native) speakers in ways of teaching English. Our aim is to help Thailand meet its critical demand for better foreign language skills.
In response to the overwhelming popularity of our in house TEFL course we are providing a university accredited online TEFL. Upon completion of an online TEFL, a university certificate is issued.

Highlights:
Chiang Mai University is offering a self-administered TEFL certificate through our virtual school. This course has been entirely authored by the experts at the University Language Institute. The content is similar to that of the 120-hour, in-house course, but the online curriculum delves deeper into the theory, philosophy, and psychology of effective language teaching.

This program offers the convenience of learning at your own pace, from anywhere with an internet connection and can be completed in as little as two weeks, or can be taken slowly over six months. It's all based on what is most comfortable for you. During the course, you can communicate with trainers and fellow students from all over the world.

Upon completion of the Chiang Mai University online TEFL, a university certificate is issued.

Qualifications: All jobs require various qualifications. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree and a TEFL.
