TESL Canada and ACTDEC UK TESOL Program

Online Course

Description:
Ontesol was developed by Coventry House International, the only school in North America that offers Trinity CertTESOL courses, to provide students with the flexibility of doing an internationally accredited TESOL/TEFL course from anywhere in the world.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Ontesol is one of the very few online TESOL schools in the world that is accredited by international TESOL organizations. We offer a 100-hour online TESOL program, accredited by ACTDEC UK Level 1, and a 250-hour online TESOL program recognized by TESL Canada for Professional Standard 2 certification and accredited by ACTDEC UK Level 3. These international TESOL organizations guarantee that our graduates meet international standards in TESOL education.

Qualifications:

100-hour Program:
For the 100-hour TESOL certificate program a candidate needs to have a good general education up to the generally accepted level for university entrance. Applicants without formal qualifications who have the ability to communicate clearly in English will also be considered. The minimum age limit is 18 years old.

250-hour program:
-Minimum age: 21
-A university degree from Canada or its equivalency. Students without a university degree are still accepted to the course and will receive a TESOL certificate at the end of the program, but they are informed that to apply to TESL Canada Professional Certificate Standard 2 an undergraduate degree from Canada or its equivalency must be completed. Students without this qualification will not be eligible for TESL Canada Professional Certificate Standard 2. Those who wish to apply to TESL Canada's certification must also complete a 20-hour practicum at the end of the 250-hour online TESOL program.

-ACTDEC UK does not require a university or college degree for its certification (Level 3).

-Candidates must have an awareness of spoken language and competence in English, both written and spoken that enables them to follow the course. Non-native speakers must have a TOEFL score of 550 (213 with computer -based exam; 80 with Internet based exam), UCLES Certificate in Advanced English or IELTS minimum band 6.5. You will be required to mail a copy of the examination score when applying for the course.
