Shanghai inclass TEFL courses:
In Shanghai and want to completely immerse yourself in your TEFL course? Our 3 week TEFL programs run throughout the year in our downtown Shanghai campus. Our inclass courses are taught by experienced, qualified ESL teachers who have made Shanghai their home. The advance in-class courses for TEFL include:
- 80 hrs in class training

Weekend TEFL
Is your time short and you are in a hurry? Our intensive weekend courses run every month and get you TEFL certified in a weekend! Our weekend course is located in or downtown campus, with classes running on both Saturday and Sunday from 9am-8pm with a lunch break in between.

Your weekend course is an intensive version of our standard version. With small class sizes (no larger than 5 students) you are tutored, rather than taught, the principles of teaching in China. Your experienced TEFL trainer guides you through your weekend course with continual support and motivation from your fellow students.

Not only will you learn how to prepare and deliver an EFL/ESL lesson, but you will also gain valuable insight into the essential aspects of second language acquisition.

Highlights: Who we are
OrientNow was created by Paul Gibson, who, like so many adventurous Aussies, wanted to explore China. His love of Chinese culture, language and uniqueness had fascinated him since he was a young boy. And it still does, over 5 years since he took the plunge and started teaching in China.

What we offer

After arriving in China, I realized two things: One, I wanted to really learn Chinese and secondly, I want to keep studying other subjects. But there were no avenues to do this. Sure, there are expensive Chinese language centres, but none that offered a personal service, with small classes and ways to make new friends.

So with this in mind I created our Expat centre and Chinese cultural centre.

TEFL courses are the same: I completed a TEFL course, but felt it didnt set me up properly to teach in China. I wanted a class that was stimulating, interactive and one that left a lifelong impression, so I individually created both our online and inclass TEFL courses.

All our teachers, for every class, are highly qualified, well trained and have experience in OrientNow! classes. But as important as their knowledge, they are there for you after class, to help with any questions or further assistance you will need. Your class doesnt finish at the sound of the school bell.
