1. What's the IEN Trinity CertTESOL Course? This course is intended for those who: - Do not have any experience in education and wish to enter the profession. - Have the experience but not the necessary qualifications. In order to provide our teachers with the maximum practical training, we aim to cover most of the current market needs, such as teaching children and teens, Business English and adults. 2. What will I learn? - Teaching Skills: Teaching procedures and techniques, lesson planning, classroom management, official examinations, Business English, teaching young learners, and much more. - Language Awareness: Grammar and phonology. - Learner Profile: Student and teacher roles, adapting materials to suit your students' needs. - The Materials Project: Analysing materials and other resources. - Teaching Practice and Observation of experienced teachers. 3. Why this course and not others? - Our course provides hands-on teacher training at one of Barcelona's top English language schools. - Trainees will have enough resources and experience to deal with the professional and practical aspects of a future full-time teaching job. - Our course includes sessions on teaching children, as it is necessary in most cases to obtain a teaching job. - Trainees will have 8 observed hours of teaching practice and up to 10 unobserved hours. - Trainees will observe experienced teachers for 4 hours in their classes. - Trainees will receive help finding accommodation during the course. - Trainees will receive assistance in finding employment after successful completion of the course. 4.
